Buy whole oat groats and soak them overnight. Blend them in a food processor with a little avocado, stevia, and water, as well as a pinch of Himalayan sea salt and eat as cereal.

I eat oat groats after green drink everyday. I buy the oat groats (or steel cut oats–next best thing) at the health food store. Prepare by soaking in water overnight. Then, drain and add water or milk of your choice (I often use almond milk). I also add in stevia, cinnamon, and any other spices. Sometimes I throw in some fruit. Often I make enough for the workweek and just keep it at work and snack on it. I don’t cook it, but it probably would be easier to stomach if I did. I also like to sprinkle chia seeds on the top for some omegas! 🙂

I start my all my days with this recipe from Kimberly Snyder. I make large batches and freeze them in containers, then thaw for each day. I highly recommend trying this to improve your health!

-1 1/2 cups water
-1 head organic romaine lettuce, chopped

3-4 stalks organic celery

-1/2 head of a large bunch, or 3/4 of a small bunch of spinach
-1 organic apple, cored and chopped
-1 organic pear, cored and chopped
-Juice of 1/2 fresh organic lemon (optional, but helps improve taste for newbies)

1 cucumber

-1/3 bunch organic cilantro (stems okay)
-1/3 bunch organic parsley (stems okay)

Add the water and chopped head of romaine to the blender. Starting the blender at low speed, mix until smoothi. Gradually moving to higher speeds, add the celery, apple and pear. Add the cilantro and parsley, if you are choosing to add them. Add lemon juice last.

The fruit and lemon cut right though the grass taste. Feel free to mix and match different greens and fruits, as these two specific food groups combine well.
